ICI Paints

40% off Dulux Lifemaster paint
- the clean air choice

For several decades, VOCs (volatile organic compounds) have been generally agreed as harmful for the environment. Legislation began appearing in the United States as early as 1963 (The Clean Air Act) to combat VOCs.

Part of the intent of Canada's Clean Air Act legislation is to reduce the quantity of indoor air contaminants that are odourous, potentially irritating and/or harmful to the comfort and well-being of installers and occupants, as well as reducing the impact of the contaminents on the ozone layer.

ICI Paints was the first company in North America to offer interior latex paint free of organic solvents, Dulux Lifemaster paint - the Clean Air Choice.

  • Virtually no odor during application
  • No residual paint odor after drying for early re-use of rooms
  • 100% acrylic for increased scrub resistance and washability
  • Meets all current and anticipated VOC regulations
  • Meets all LEED specifications established by the US Green Building Council
  • Approved by Master Painter's Institute under "Low VOC/Institutional paint specifications"

Now Edvantage members can save 40% off Dulux Lifemaster paint!

National Car Rental & Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Visit one of our 80 designated "Hybrid Branches" in the U.S.A.

The Enterprise Family (National Car Rental & Enterprise Rent-A-Car) has added approximately 5,000 additional gas/electric hybrids to its nationwide fleet and is designating nearly 80 rental locations across the U.S. as "hybrid branches" with a high concentration of the new hybrids available. For the first time, customers can reserve these hybrids online or by phone.

Hybrids can achieve greater fuel economy, use less gasoline and have fewer emissions than traditional vehicles.

The designation of "hybrid branches" in the U.S. continues Enterprise's environmental commitment to growing the market for alternative fuels and technologies. This is continuing our already comprehensive environmental sustainability platform, which includes:

  • The world's largest fleet of fuel-efficient vehicles - nearly 450,000 cars in the combined Enterprise, National and Alamo fleet average a highway fuel efficiency rating of at least 28 mpg or better; nearly 230,000 average 32 mpg or better; and nearly 425,000 have earned the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's SmartWay certification mark - a distinction the EPA grants to vehicles that emit relatively low levels of both regulated pollutants and greenhouse gasses such as CO2.
  • Customer Carbon Offsets - customers can offset the CO2 emissions of their rental cars by opting to pay $1.25 per rental to fund certified offset projects through TerraPass. The company's charitable foundation will match customer contributions dollar-for-dollar, up to $1 million.
  • Conservation - the company's charitable foundation has pledged $50 million to plant 50 million trees over 50 years through the 50 Million Tree Pledge, a public/private/nonprofit partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation and the U.S. Forest Service. Trees are being planted on public lands in the U.S., Canada and Europe.
